AUTHOR Kelly Starling Lyons


The mission of Pittsburgh native Kelly Starling Lyons is to transform moments, memories and history into stories of discovery. She is the author of NEATE: Eddie’s Ordeal, a novel for middle readers, and CCBC Choices-honored picture book, One Million Men and Me. Ms. Lyons is a member of The Brown Bookshelf (www.thebrownbookshelf.com), a team dedicated to raising awareness of children's book creators of color. She also leads a book club for kids in North Carolina where she lives.

ALSO: Ms. Lyons offers author visits and writing residencies for children and workshops for adults.
